Recent deployment of AI technologies such as the "Lavender" AI by the Israeli military underscores the pressing need for ethical guidelines in AI's application in surveillance and warfare. This initiative addresses the crucial lack of marginalized perspectives in tech, redirecting AI’s potential towards positive impacts.

Mission and background

Our mission is deeply rooted in the principle of collective liberation, particularly in areas where voices for social justice are significantly underrepresented, such as the tech and AI sectors. Advocating for justice and peace in Palestine embodies this mission, highlighting the urgent need to amplify marginalized voices within technological innovation. This movement is dedicated to promoting the ethical use of AI and technology, ensuring these powerful tools advocate for human rights and support underrepresented communities in their quest for justice. As we implement our plans, we hope to learn how to effectively engage and mobilize the tech community around ethical AI use in conflict resolution. We aim to understand the barriers to adopting ethical AI practices in the industry and explore innovative ways to advocate for technology that serves humanity. Additionally, we seek insights into building a successful digital campaign that resonates across diverse audiences, fostering a broad-based movement for justice and collective liberation.

Leveraging my experience from a senior role at Amazon AWS, I am dedicated to initiating a grassroots movement in the tech industry to promote the ethical use of AI and technology, advocating for human rights and supporting underrepresented communities. With over 10 years of experience leading strategic initiatives in the Tech industry. At AWS, I helped build the infrastructure and platforms that power some of the largest companies in the world. Now, I am dedicated to leveraging my expertise to promote ethical AI practices, especially in conflict zones like Palestine. I aim to initiate a grassroots movement within the tech community that views technology as a tool for human rights and collective liberation rather than oppression.
